“ Dear Mr. Peter Sanfey, Regarding the financial investment your company is doing for the bypass road segment Fier-Levan in south Albania, we, all the residents of the Shtyllas Village (during the communists e this was an area for detention camps, where a lot of Albanians were interned with the whole family), are complaining and reporting about the expropriation value of our estates, which is a ridiculous and very miserable price: EUR 2.00 per m², while the expropriation values in the nearby areas are higher (in Levan Village EUR 11.50 per m² and in Pojan Village EUR 6.50 per m²). This village, Shtyllas, is located between these other two villages, so why this big, unfair and corrupt difference? The Styllas case is different because it involves a corruptive affair. The deal is that an anonymous businessman will get the sideways parts of each roadside, on the 15th and on the 18th kilometer. Each of these parts has a surface of about 25,000 m². The purpose of this area is the construction of two huge car parks. We were informed that the decision for this corruptive affair was approved. We were threatened to keep silence and helplessly accept this robbery. Please Mr. Sanfey, I and all the other residents are asking for your help and attention to review the price of our properties. We are being disseized of our estates. We are not refusing to sell the estates, we are only asking for a fair and a legal evaluation.
